T. Lynn Ward founded Ward Law Offices, LLC, in 2005. The firm is composed of Lynn and Of Counsel attorney, Tony A. Potter, with a focus on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, paternity, adoption, and child-in-need-of-care cases. The firm also provides litigation alternatives such as collaborative family law, mediation and arbitration. The mission of the firm is to help clients find independence and self-confidence by compassionately and efficiently navigating them through major changes in their family.
Lynn’s focus is on high-asset divorce cases, particularly those involving business valuations or agricultural assets. She is a trained mediator and has also arbitrated divorce cases. She is equally comfortable trying cases in the courtroom or negotiating them outside of court.
Lynn grew up on a farm south of Clay Center, Kansas. Her father had a cow-calf operation and grew wheat and soybeans. She graduated from Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, Florida, in 1987, with a degree in Prelaw. She returned to her home state of Kansas for law school, and graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 1990. She and her husband, Dale, moved to Wichita, Kansas, in 1990, and they have had successful legal careers there over the past twenty-six years.
Lynn is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Wichita, and served in many leadership capacities for the organization, including President in 2006-07. She is currently the sustaining advisor to the League’s Community Impact Council. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and serves on its board of governors. Lynn is on the board of directors for the Washburn Law School’s Children and Family Law Center. She is a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, and leads the Refugee/Immigrant Outreach Team there.
